Elena Coumas

Singing Teacher

Elena trained at The Jason Theatre School and Bodens Studios. She went on to become an Associate member of the North and Midlands school of music ANMSM & MNMSM, Associate Member of St. Cecelia’s Music Society.

Elena has achieved teaching level & Gold Medals for LAMDA in Acting, Verse & Prose and Musical Theatre. She has been teaching the LAMDA syllabus since 2008. She has completed her P.Cert.Lam. Diploma in Speech & Drama.

Elena is a professional Amy Winehouse Tribute and has appeared as a lookalike in music videos. Elena runs Octave Entertainment, an entertainment agency where she places singers for different events. She started her own Girl band in 2009 until 2011. She has been fortunate enough to sing at many places such as Westminster Abbey, The Annual Conservative Hall at the Dorchester Hotel and London’s Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square and The International Presentation of Performers in New York. She has recorded tracks in the studio over the years and reached the semi finals for UK UNSIGNED’s 20-30 category. She regularly performs at weddings, restaurants and clubs.

Elena has performed in “Joseph” in Covent Garden and many productions in the Millfield Theatre, and Broxbourne Civic Hall.

Elena is the vocalist for two function bands who gig all over the country, in addition to her own shows. She is the LAMDA coordinator for a primary school where she also teaches drama, piano and singing.
