Scholarship Auditions

FOR ANY 6 – 15 YEAR OLD. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, JUST BRING YOUR ENTHUSIASM!

AUDITIONS ON SUNDAY 27th NOV 2016 AT ST. ALBANS GIRLS SCHOOL, AL3 6DB 1.45-3.45pm

Top Hat Scholarships offer young people the chance to win a scholarship to one of our weekend Stage Schools. Auditions will run in November each year in one central location. There will be 3 scholarships in each of the locations. A total of 15 students will win a scholarship to attend one of our schools. They will learn (for free) about dance, drama and singing from industry professionals. Each place is worth £900!

Children aged 6 – 17 years with a passion for performing can attend our open auditions. They will take part in a fun workshop covering dance, drama and singing. Participants are not expected to be experts but will just require a passion, potential and enthusiasm for performing arts.

This community scheme has been set up in order to offer all children in Hertfordshire the opportunity to attend Top Hat Stage School whatever their financial means. There will be 3 age categories and successful candidates will win a place for a year. In addition, there will be a number of part funded scholarships that will be awarded too (50% off). You will also be able to chose which weelend school location you woudl prefer to win.

Finalists are judged by an Independent Panel of judges and teachers. In addition, parents/ students will be asked to complete a questionnaire giving their reasons for applying for a scholarship.

We encourage all children to come to the auditions as it is free, fun and informal and will give a taster to what Top Hat has to offer. Previous winners have even gone on to join our professional acting and Modelling agency: TOP TALENT AGENCY. Where some of these children have gained roles on TV and films as well as West End shows.

Awards are subject to regular reviews and require the selected students to adhere to good standards of performance as well as excellent behavior.
